Beggar's Pouch Hand tooled Belts

These belts were handtooled by Mike at the The Beggars Pouch Leather shop. The leather used is 8/9oz natural veg tanned European bridle bend. Imported from Europe, this old world leather is some of the finest available for belts and case goods. Handtooling is the craft of using lleather stamping tools that are mixed and matched to form various designs in the leather. The leather is wet and the stamping tools are then hammered into the leather. When the leather dries the imprints remain and become permanent. The belts are then colored and dyed by hand. Wax finishes are applied and buffed to seal the dyes and provide a bit of a light shine.
